It’s Sandwich Time!

Park Plaza Garden’s Signature Burger has a gourmet taste for only $10! Served just the way you like it on a Kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, onion, and your choice of Applewood bacon and provolone, wild mushroom and swiss, or even blackened with bleu cheese and caramelized onion.

Or, if a wrap is more your style, feel free try the Roasted Veggie Wrap for the same low price! With roasted squash, eggplant, carrots, onions, red peppers, fresh spinach, romaine lettuce and kicked up with some chipotle dressing, this wrap will definitely satisfy your taste buds. Also, it is served with a side hummus and fresh fruit. Delicious!

If neither of those get your mouth watering, try the baked croissant sandwich with smoked turkey, apple, brie and bacon for just $11.

So come and meet us in Winter Park with all of your friends for a tasty meal!

Winter Park CoffeeTalk to Brew a Latte’ Conversation

The City of Winter Park is continuing its popular CoffeeTalk series and invites the community to attend and join in the conversation.

Residents have indicated that speaking at large public meetings is often
intimidating and uncomfortable. Therefore, CoffeeTalk gives residents the
opportunity to discuss their concerns with the Mayor, City Commissioners
and City Manager in a more casual and comfortable environment. These
sessions give the community an opportunity to sit down and talk with city
officials over a cup of coffee which is generously provided by Palmano’s
Coffee Roastery and Espresso Bar.

The one-hour CoffeeTalk sessions will be held at the Winter Park Welcome
Center located at 151 West Lyman Avenue, at 7 p.m. on the following
Thursdays:

July 15  City Manager Randy Knight
August 19  Vice Mayor Beth Dillaha
September 16 Commissioner Phil Anderson
October 21  Commissioner Carolyn Cooper
November 18 Commissioner Tom McMacken

If you don’t have them enrolled in any summer camps or daily activities, be sure to check out our City website for events and information of what your child can do around town. This event in particular caught my eye because let’s face it, who doesn’t like a good King Kong & Godzilla rivalry?

Will Park Avenue Still Be Pet Friendly?

Many consider Park Avenue to be one of the most pet-friendly shopping districts in Central Florida. Winter Park’s Park & Recreations committee will meet today to decide whether or not the city will ban dogs from Park Avenue. As many of you know, the city allows dogs in the shopping community as well as on outdoor open patios of local Park Avenue restaurants.

The goal behind the ban is ensure that dogs do not go to Central Park (where they are no allowed). Many businesses feel as though it is a direct and personal hit to their business. The board meeting starts today at 5 pm at City Hall. >> Learn More

What are your thoughts? Should the city ban dog from Park Avenue?
